"Dear Sirs:
Two years ago we contracted to have a modular POS set on our site. Now
the Propane usage is huge. We typically pay $2200/year for propane. What
would the extra electrical cost be to heat and cool this place? 1600sq'
with only an out run from the furnace.
The present furnace is way too big at 60K runs about 5-10% of the time,
would two small units be a better setup? During this past week run time
got up to maybe 60%. Can you give advice or steer me correctly.
Paul Mulford"
"Hi Paul,
Thanks for the email! There are several options to help you save money. We have a cost analysis program that will calculate your energy savings. We need to see your home and perform a heat gain/heatloss to determine what your home requires for proper heating & cooling BTU's. Once this is established we can show you Geo Thermal options, Air to Air Heat pump options, or maybe something as simple as 95% efficient gas furnace. Our estimates are free and we could meet with you at your convenience.
Thanks, Rick"
I am in the process of looking at houses. One of the houses I looked at had asbestos wrap around the furnace pipes and probably a 50 year old furnace. How costly would it be to have the asbestos removed (an who does this?) plus install a new furnace and AC. The house is a little over 1600 square feet.
Thanks for your help.
"Hi Sarah,
Thanks for the email! Congratulations on your up and coming purchase. Unfortunately due to the involvement, I can not give you a ballpark figure for a job such as this. To give you an estimate would require us to come to your home. We also have to arrange for an asbestos abatement estimate. We would be more than happy to schedule this at your convenience.
Please feel free to contact our office!
Thanks, Rick"
I was wondering i have a gas log in my fireplace ca i take this out and put in a corn burner it has a vent for gas out the roof cal me at 989-245-8904
I seen your commerical on TV and heard you talk about a stove that heats on dirt. Can you tell me more about this?
Thank You
"Hi Connie,
Thanks for your email! Geothermal is a simple technology that uses the earths renewable energy to provide high-efficiency heating and cooling. In winter, the system draws heat from the ground and transfers it to your home. In summer, it extracts heat from your home and transfers it to the ground. Equipment consists only of a heat pump connected to a series of small-diameter pipes buried underground. A water solution
circulating through the pipes carries heat between the ground and the heat pump. Connie we offer Free Estimates and would be happy to schedule one with you at your convenience, please give us a call!!
Thanks, Rick"
Several years ago you installed a gas log for the fireplace. Is it possible to reverse that back to a wood burning fireplace? Thanks
"I am interested in finding out ,ore about the new Hydro Heat. The one you show on TV that uses dirt. I would also like to find out how much it would cost for something like that to be installed. Thank you"

"My furnace will fire up for a few seconds, then shut down. App a minute later, will fire up again &then shut down. After a feww tries like that, it will finally fire up & stay on."
"Hi Dean,
Thanks for the email! Dean, when was the last time you had a clean & check done on your furnace? The reason I ask is because it sounds like a dirty flame sensor or it may even be an ignitor. The only way to be sure is for us to schedule a service call.
Thanks again, Rick"

"Rick,
I'm looking into a humidifier that attaches to the heating/cooling system in our house. I was wondering what your take is on these units. I've heard varying opinions on what extra moisture in the house does. I think there are several benefits that may outway the minuses. I wondered if you guys sell humidifiers or can recommend a company that works with homeowners to have these units installed.
Thanks in advance for your help"
"Hi Jim,
Thanks for the email! A whole home central humidification unit is an excellent addition to your existing HVAC system. Humidity seeks its own level, so when you operate your furnace during the colder months of the year everything from furniture, to wood floors and even your own body tends to dry out.
You have no doubt heard many pros and cons with regard to humidifiers. At Answer Heating & Cooling we offer many indoor air quality solutions and a humidifier is one of them. Please call our office to schedule an estimate when youre ready.
Thanks, Rick"
"You were advertising Geo Thermal heating awhile back. Is that something you still offer? Can you give me some information on it in regards to application, cost, installation."
"Thanks for the email! We definitely can offer that to you. The brand we sell, furnish & install is WaterFurnace. If you would like we can set up free estimate at your convenience. We can be reached at 989-695-9461, ask to speak with our Sales Coordinator, Jamie.
Thanks, Rick"
"Waht would the min. BTU rating, on a propane boiler be, for a 450 cu. ft. room be?"
"Hi David,
Thanks for the email! Unfortunately the only true way to size your boiler is a load calculation. Square footage is a factor but there are many other things to consider. If you would like to schedule an estimate please feel free to give our office a call and we will be happy to help!!
Thanks, Rick"
